Directions

1. Add yellow and green food coloring to your buttercream and mix until you achieve a shade of grass-green.
   
2. Frost each cupcake with buttercream and smooth with a knife.
   
3. Assemble your caramels and mini M&Ms.
   
4. Set one caramel on each cupcake—this is the "lawnmower."
5. Transfer the remaining green buttercream frosting in a piping bag.
   
6. Place a grass tip on your piping bag. Pipe "grass" around the mower, leaving a smooth area behind the mower; this produces the effect that the grass has already been "mowed" in that spot.
   
7. Use brown mini M&Ms for the tires on the lawnmower; stand them upright in the frosting.
   
8. Add an orange mini M&M on top of each caramel (attach with frosting).
   
9. Melt chocolate melting wafers according to package directions. Then transfer the chocolate to a piping bag and cut a small hole in the tip of the bag.
10. Pipe lawnmower handles onto parchment paper (as shown). Let them dry.
    
11. When the chocolate has hardened, use a toothpick to create two small holes in the cupcake behind the mower.
    
12. Insert the hardened chocolate handle into the holes so the handle stands upright.
