Getting your vegetables has never been more fun than this wickedly delicious beer battered broccoli appetizer. It’s quick and easy to make, looks irresistible on the plate and is bound to become a family favorite among kids and adults alike.

  1. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets, cutting the stems fairly short.
  2. In a large bowl combine the flour, spices, cheese and beer in a large bowl and mix until smooth. Dip the florets into the bowl and completely coat.
  3. Heat 2-3 inches of oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet and fry until a golden color. Cook in batches and do not crowd.
  4. Serve immediately with sour cream, queso dip or ranch dressing for dipping.
