Crunchy Peanut Butter Banana Toast

If you’ve never tried a peanut butter and banana sandwich, you absolutely have to try this breakfast toast! Need more of a reason to give it a try? Peanut butter is a great source of protein and bananas… hello, potassium!

This breakfast toast is super simple to make. In fact, you only need four things - bread, bananas, peanuts and peanut butter. Here’s how to craft it:

  1. Spread a relatively thick layer of peanut butter on your toast (we suggest using white or multigrain bread).
  2. Peel and slice a banana into ½ inch thick pieces and place on your peanut butter layer.
  3. Sprinkle with unsalted peanuts for some added crunch (and protein).

TIP: Make sure to allow your toast to cool before topping with peanut butter. Otherwise, you may have a mess on your hands (literally). And if you want to make this toast a little sweeter, scatter some mini semi-sweet chocolate chips on top. Your kiddos will definitely love this sweet addition!

Almond Butter Toast with Strawberries, Marshmallows & Walnuts

Just like peanut butter, almond butter is also packed with protein, which gives you plenty of energy to start your day right. And did you know? Strawberries are also a good source of potassium (as well as vitamin C). That’s why this breakfast toast recipe is certainly worth a try. Plus, having an excuse to have marshmallows in the morning is definitely an added bonus, right?

To make this breakfast toast, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Evenly spread a layer of almond butter on your toast (try multigrain or whole wheat bread).
  2. Cut the green tops off of your strawberries and slice them.

  4. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top (optional).

TIP: For extra strawberry flavor, spread some strawberry jam or preserves on top of the almond butter before adding the other toppings. Note - this will add quite a bit of sweetness, so you may choose to leave the marshmallows off (or not).
