Though the Reuben has an American origin, it is frequently enjoyed on St. Patrick's Day because of the corned beef. This is great if you have leftover corned beef from another meal. Piled high with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing, the Reuben is a messy, satisfying favorite.

  1. Toast all of the rye break slices in a toaster oven.
  2. Add the corned beef, thousand island dressing, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut to each sandwich. Slice in half and enjoy!
