Red Wine Chocolate Truffles

- Makes 20 to 24 truffles
Surprise someone special with these super-chocolately, delightfully delicious, and incredibly creamy truffle treats. Be careful not to eat them all up first!

Begin by chopping the chocolate into small pieces and place it in a bowl.

In a saucepan, stir together the cream, butter, and cream cheese and bring the mixture to a boil. Remove from heat.

Add the powdered sugar and the vanilla and stir.

Pour the mixture over the chocolate.

Stir until it's thoroughly combined (it will take a couple of minutes).

Add the wine and stir until thoroughly combined.

Pour the mixture into an ungreased 8x8-inch pan.
- Put the pan in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

Create the truffles using a spoon or an ice cream scoop. Scoop out chocolate to make 1-inch balls.

Dust your hands with cocoa powder and roll the balls to a nice, round shape.

Place the cocoa powder in a bowl and roll each truffle in the cocoa powder.

Place them on a tray or a plate.
