Featuring several Food Lion brand ingredients and everyday essentials you probably already have in your kitchen, these gingerbread cupcakes topped with cinnamon-spiked cream cheese wrap all the comforting flavors of Christmas into affordably delicious packages.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line muffin pans with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix the cake mix, milk, vegetable oil, molasses, eggs, vanilla, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg in a large bowl on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Fill the cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool before frosting.
  4. Mix the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and cream cheese frosting in a medium bowl. Frost the cooled cupcakes.

Recipe Tip: Use an ice cream scoop to fill the cupcake liners evenly. Do not fill more than 2/3 full, or cupcakes can spill over or sink in the middle.
