Feed your family a fiesta-worthy feast for less with these tasty tacos! Making your own carne asada is a snap with Food Lion’s boneless sirloin steak spiced to perfection with seasoning blend, and grilled until charred and sizzling. Then, dress up your tacos with savory toppings, like cotija cheese, chorizo, refried beans and avocado.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and brush the grates with oil. Rub the steak with the seasoning mix. Grill steak until it reaches the desired internal temperature, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Place the beans in a small saucepan over low heat. Keep warm, stirring occasionally, until ready to use. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the onions until translucent, about 4-5 minutes. Add the chorizo and cook, using a spatula to break up any large chunks. Cook until browned and crispy, about 5 minutes.
- Slice steak into 1/4-inch strips. Wrap the tortillas in paper towels, and heat in the microwave for 1 minute, until warm. To serve, layer the steak, chorizo mixture, beans, cheese and avocado on each tortilla. Top with cilantro. Serve with rice, soda and lime wedges.
Recipe Tip: Garnish with sliced jalapenos for a spicy twist.
