For an easy, no-cooking-required appetizer on a busy weekend, throw together five simple ingredients for this delightfully tasty, colorful snack.

  1. To make a balsamic reduction, bring 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar to a boil in a small saucepan then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes. It is ready when it coats the back of a spoon. Allow to cool before using.
  2. Meanwhile, carefully scoop out about half of each avocado with a small spoon and slice the removed portion into cubes. Place in a bowl with the tomatoes and mozzarella and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss gently to ensure everything is seasoned, then evenly distribute the filling into each avocado bowl.
  3. Top with basil, drizzle with balsamic and serve immediately cold or at room temperature.
