These five ingredient sweet and savory bacon brown sugar smokies are made in just 30 minutes and are the perfect bite-size appetizers for tailgating.

  1. Set oven to 425 degrees. While it preheats, line a baking pan with foil.
  2. Take each strip of back and divide it into thirds. Wrap one strip of bacon around each mini smokie and use toothpick to hold in place.
  3. Mix the cayenne pepper and brown sugar and roll each smokie in the blend. Smokies can be frozen or already cooked at this point. Arrange on the lined pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Turn smokies over and cook 10 more minutes or until bacon is crispy. If the smokies were frozen, cook for additional 5 minutes.
