These delightful apple turnovers are great for breakfast or dessert! Serve with warm apple cider for apple overload!

  1. Thaw the puff pastry for about 15 minutes or until you can gently unfold it without breaking it.
  2. Use a small pastry or pizza cutter to cut each sheet into four squares. Place a dollop of apple pie filling in the center of each puff pastry square. Brush the edges with egg wash and fold over each square, making a triangle. Gently press down and seal the edges with a fork.
  3. Brush each turnover with egg wash and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake in a preheated 400 degree F oven for about 15 minutes. Or until nicely golden brown. Let cool slightly before applying icing.
  4. Whisk together icing ingredients. Make it the consistency you want and drizzle over warm turnovers. Serve immediately.
