We’re willing to wager that these cost-conscious nacho chicken bites will be your new go-to for parties and tailgates! Instead of wings, try budget-friendly boneless skinless chicken breasts; in place of breadcrumbs, crushed tortilla chips make a perfectly crunchy coating. Topped with Food Lion brand cheese, sour cream and spicy pickled jalapenos, they make an affordable appetizer to share with friends and family.
Ingredients
Directions
- Place the chips in a large resealable plastic bag. Using a rolling pin or hands, crush the chips until finely broken. Transfer the crushed chips to a medium shallow bowl. Place the mayonnaise in a separate shallow bowl. Dip the chicken into the mayonnaise, then the crushed chips, evenly coating each piece.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Working in batches, place the chicken in a single layer into the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Repeat with the remaining chicken.
- Place the cooked chicken on a large serving plate. Top with the cheddar, sour cream and jalapenos. Served with salsa and enjoy.
Substitute: Substitute ranch or nacho cheese flavored tortilla chips for the restaurant style tortilla chips!
