Savory New Year’s Eve Snacks

Mini Margherita Pizzas

Mini Margherita Pizzas, tomatoes, cruet of tomatoe sauce, basil

No need to get pizza delivered with this recipe! Instead, you’ll only need six ingredients, ten spare minutes to prep and ten minutes of baking time to make our cheesy Mini Margherita Pizzas. To prepare these New Year’s Eve snacks, you’ll start by cutting pieces of flatbread into circles using a round cookie cutter or drinking glass. Then, spread the pizza sauce over the top, sprinkle some mozzarella cheese and top with a tomato slice before popping them in the oven to cook on a baking sheet.

Once the cheese is nice and melted, place a piece of fresh basil on top of each pizza and add a little parmesan cheese. This recipe is as simple as that! Now, snag the full list of ingredients here.

Cheers-worthy Cooking Tip: Add sliced pepperoni to your mini pizzas for some added protein and flavor.

Vegetable Cups with Spicy Ranch Dip

Vegetable Cups with Spicy Ranch Dip, kitchen towel, cutting board, wood table bowl of tomatoes, bell pepper, cucumber slices

Crudité anyone? That’s just a fancy way to say veggies and dip, which is exactly what this next New Year’s Eve snack is composed of, but put together in little cups so you can grab one and quickly head back to the couch to watch all of the festivities on the TV.

These Vegetable Cups with Spicy Ranch Dip are made with nine ingredients, including four different veggies, tomatoes and a zesty dip that tastes almost like a buffalo wing dunked in creamy dressing (but without the chicken). Sound like something you and your family would love to snack on while you get ready to ring in the new year? Visit our recipe portal for the step-by-step directions!

Cheers-worthy Cooking Tip: Swap out any vegetables for things like broccoli, snow peas and cauliflower.

Champagne Turkey Meatballs

What says New Year’s Eve better than a glass of bubbly? How about a recipe made with champagne? These flavor-packed turkey meatballs are coated in a homemade sauce that includes - yes - champagne! But, don’t worry; since the sauce is cooked, it’s still a family-friendly dish.

Besides a bottle of bubbly, here are the other nine ingredients you may need to add to your grocery shopping list:

  • Ground turkey
  • Onion
  • Rice cake
  • Egg
  • Tomato paste
  • Cranberries
  • Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper

You can also substitute the turkey for ground pork or beef if you prefer. You may just need to adjust the cooking time slightly depending on the meat you choose. Or, if you want to skip cooking the meatballs all together, pick up a package of premade frozen meatballs and add them to the sauce after preparing it in order to heat them up.

Get your slow cooker ready for this super simple dip recipe! Made with four ingredients, preparing this Buffalo Chicken Dip is as easy as boiling and shredding the chicken, putting everything in the crockpot and slow-cooking for about an hour, stirring every now and then.

Carrot sticks, celery, pretzels and tortilla chips (like our store-made chips) are perfect to serve for dipping. You could even include some ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side as a second dip option for the veggies. After all, these creamy dressings and buffalo chicken go so well together.

Cheers-worthy Cooking Tip: Use rotisserie chicken to save some prep time and have this dip ready to serve even faster.

  • Taco seasoning
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Bell pepper

Just make sure to supervise the dipping process since the caramel and chocolate may be hot.
